@nicycle declared 2010 the Summer of Dresses, and @irishgirl started this site to gather all the photos of lovely ladies in fancy frocks. Anyone can play along! This isn't about being the prettiest or the most fashionable. It's just about breaking the jeans and t-shirt habit, having fun and maybe meeting a few new friends.

The more the merrier! Spread the word, and play along. Here's how:

Join In

• Wear a dress (skirts count, too!)
• Email your photo to post@summerofdresses.posterous.com and it will appear here.
  
  • The title of your email will be the title of your post
  • Any attachment (photo, video, PDF, etc.) will be displayed as part of your post
  • Any text in the body of your email will be the text of your blog post (this includes email signatures, etc. -- if you don't want that to show up, delete it from your email before sending!). Feel free to post deets about the dress: where you got it, if you made it, and why you love it.
• So, go ahead: add post@summerofdresses.posterous.com to your address book so you can send us photos on the go!
